Kindergarten Round Up will be on March 30, 2010 at Carson City Elementary. Please call the school office to schedule your appointment (989) 584-3130.
Plan on bringing your child, a form of ID to verify address, immunization records, and a certified birth certificate (this is not the one you get at the hospital).
We will have vision and hearing screening as well as a Kindergarten readiness screening during your appointment. Some of the basic skills covered are shapes, cutting, reasoning, counting, and writing name.

Parents of K-8th grade students:
Once again we are offering the GRASP summer correspondence program in math and reading for students who completed K through 8th grade during 2009-2010.
Children get a packet with 9 lessons for the summer which are scored, recorded and then returned to the students. Children who complete at least 7 lessons with 70% accuracy are awarded a certificate. Those who finish all 9 lessons successfully will receive a medal.

GRASP website. You may also pick up forms at the Carson City and Crystal Elementaries and the Middle School. Forms and fees need to be postmarked by June 11, 2010. Cost is $37.00 for one subject and $61.00 for two subjects.
