Vibrato Effect

The vibrato effect occurs when a singer varies the amplitude of the song. The strings of a piano, out of tune, will produce the same effect. Also, in a laboratory, the superposition of two nearly identical sound sources can create the vibrato effect when the two frequencies are slightly out of phase (out of tune). Actually, to match one sound source against another, the instructor "tunes out" the vibrato effect. Then, the instructor has an audio generator for convenient use instead of constantly exciting a tuning fork during the experiment.
