The High School Band performs for family members and friends in lead up to Band Festival Competition on March 9.
Last week our 6th grade student council voted to begin peer mentoring one day a week during recess. Yesterday they started and wanted to share how awesome our students were. Many students were able to turn in missing work and improve their grades substantially.

With an abundance of caution, we have postponed both the Winterfest King and Queen announcement and the Winterfest dance due to predicted weather.
Considering the safety of our students, as well as the amount of time, effort, and money that families invest in these events, we feel it is best to cancel early. We will reschedule, so be on the lookout early next week for more information.

We will be having our first UE/MS Activity Night this Friday, 11/3. 4th & 5th grade students will attend from 3:30-5:30 and 6th-8th graders from 6:00-8:00.

Michigan 1- passing out freebies to spectators
Independent Bank- passing out freebies to spectators
Montcalm Veterans Affairs office- passing out information and resources to Veterans and Military men and women who will be joining us during the event/game
Claire Elizabeth Photography- setting up a photo booth, and will be promoting for family and/or senior pictures
Screaming Eagle Nutrition- Selling 3 different drinks at $5 (it will be a large size drink), all proceeds will be going to our Veterans relief funds
Gelock Heavy Movers Inc.- They are bringing in a crane to raise a big flag by the football field and will be allowing spectators to look and sit in the crane

Carson City Village Market- donated Brats, Chips, and drinks to feed Veterans
We will have Salute Our Soldier t-shirts that you can purchase at the game. They will be $20 for this year's shirts, and $5 for the previous year's shirts. Kielee Kemmer-Slater will be running the table.

If you would like to volunteer your time, please let Andi Scott know! I will take all the help! I will be out on the field all day tomorrow decorating and setting up.
First PTO meeting for the 2023-2024 school year is September 26th from 6-7pm in the lower elementary building. PTO provides support to the teachers and students in many different ways! We would like to encourage anyone interested in learning more, volunteering time or to share ideas to please attend. It's only the first week of classes and the students have already had several "aha!" moments and great discussions in the new 7/8 life skills class.
